Cause of concern? and what cause it?

Noticed this on the drives side of the truck behind the grill. Just wondering if anyone else has this? not affecting anything other than just thinking WHY?

Is that an aluminum end cap on the intercooler? Looks like it over here in soggy SC.

Can of semi gloss black spray paint to cover up the mileage based airstream induced scars.

But I've been wrong before even earlier today as a matter of fact.

Went flat black to 'fix' that on the 2003. Does improve the weather beaten look.

As long as its Normal im good with it. I was just wondering if it was heat induced because it only appears in ONE SPOT? Like Gary said Can of spray paint is an easy fix.

Didn't notice it when we went to Shipshewana IN and its not been used all that much since. I did stand on it pretty hard coming home from IN up a long steep grade in Home State!!!
