Has any one ever heard of an edge ez taking out an ecm? My uncle had one on his 02 and the ecm went bad. He wants to put the ez back on, but is scared that the same thing will happen.

I put the edge with juice with attitude on my truck and two days later I'm sitting on the side of the road. It sounds like my problem is pretty rare and nobody has really been able to figure it out. From the sounds of things my VP is fine (which is what I first thought was bad) but the shop is saying my ECM could be shot.

Don't want to sound contrarian, but how would you know the EZ caused the ECM failure? I'm genuinely curious.

I replaced the ECM on a '99 I had several years ago, which hadn't had any electronic fueling enhancements. I was less than impressed by DC's troubleshooting techniques when the ECM was determined to be bad. No rhyme or reason. It was the perfect opportunity to buy a Catcher ECM and not look back.

I would like to know also how you know the EZ was the culprit. i have an 02 and run EZ on it. What do i look for. Has anyone talked to Edge?

I am not sure that the ez caused it. I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same thing happen. Sorry for the confusion and the late response.
