Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) any ideas

Has anyone had a problem with their motormount bolts? I picked up a wierd vibration in my engine yesterday, and couldn't figure it out, it was there at idle, with or without the clutch engaged, seemed to reduce at higher RPMs. I checked everything topside and seemed to be fine.

I crawled under the truck and was running an extension to the blow by tube, to divert it past the trans crossmember, and saw half a bolt sticking out of the drivers side motor mount, the start stopped it from sliding out. I then checked the passengers side and it was completely gone except for the stub side with the nut on it. The engine was sitting on the oil pan on the crossmember. None of the dealerships in the area (4 of them) had the bolts, but they are 12 x 1. 75 x 155mm bolts. I went to the local bolt and fastener place and picked up two 12 x 1. 75 x 160mm grade 8 bolts, and glad I did. Both sides were broken off where the thread began on the bolts.

The new bolts go completely through with the solid shaft all the way through and the threads on the outside. Hopefully I won't have to worry about them again.

So, just a heads up on the bolts. My truck has 186k "official" miles on it, and been worked hard over it's life.

Morph.
