CB, Brolin Mount, 6 Speed and Cup Smoothie

Anyone using this combination? I'm looking for a CB but now that I look there doesn't seem to be much room between the shifter, the seat and the cup smoothie. I was getting ready to order a Galaxy CB but now that I look I don't know if any CB will fit in this tight spot. Anyone doing it or have pictures of it being done?

Try a Cobra 25 LTD Classic if you can find it, if not a Sound Tracker "will do. " I would be willing to bet this radio will fit.



I actually have a bracket bolted through my floor that holds my radio vertical that a friend made. It fits perfectly in front of the center section of the seat.



Hoping for a "Rob Thomas Console" for Christmas though

Ok, got the CB and mounted it. After much trial and error I finaly found a CB with the features I need that will fit (barely). I tried several Cobra's and Unidens and even a Galaxy but none fit correctly. I ended up with a Radio Shack TRC-446. Here are some pictures. They are not the best as it was getting dark.

Great job on the CB Ray. In looking at your pictures where did you get the push pull switch on your stick for the engine break? It looks great and seems to be mounted well.

I got it at the local shop that installed the brake for me, they got it from BD. I'm sure you can get them anywhere but if you're having trouble finding one I'd be happy to get one here and send it to you. Let me know if you need any help.

Ray, thanks for the info. I just ordered the switch from BD for $32. 33. I'll see what shows up in a few days

I don't know if this is any help, I had a friend that had kinda the same space problem you have. He took a torch and heated up his shifter arm and bent it in two places to give him just a bit more room then sanded it, primed it, and repainted it with gloss black. It looked pretty good and he only had to reach an extra inch or so more than normal.

I love my Brolin C. B. Mount , but your cup holder will get in the way. Give up the cup holder and use the D/C ones . You can adjust your C. B with out looking ,the arm rest is just right so your hand can reach the knobs with out lifting your arm. My Corba works great with my old K-40 antenna
