I fitted my Kenwood dual bander under the center seat. The unit fit snugly under the bracket under the center seat. No drilling, compression fit. Ran the wiring up and mounted face plate right between the air controller and the first vent. The face plate was out of direct sunlight, so it never got hot and would never get cold since air was blowing on it from the back side. Ran an mike extension between the center seat and the driver seat. The bracket under the center seat would draw a lot of heat away from the radio, so it maintained a constant temperature. I did add an external speaker because I'm deef. I only have 25% hearing in one ear and 50% in the other. I ran the antenae two inches from the radio antenae by removing the bolt and attaching a dodge antenae bracket to it with double stick tape. It was a perfect combination. Signals and transmissions were strong and clear. Then I sold the truck and now my wife wants the radio in her car and she told me to go get another one. FT100D or TS2000B here I come... .
