I have an '06 Ram 3500 4x2 with 6-speed.

I had hoped to mount my Galaxy DX-95T in an overhead console, but since the truck has the overhead display I don't think that will be possible using existing overhead consoles I've seen.

Drilling into the floor, etc. are not options I would consider on my $36,000 truck.

There is no place in the cab to mount the CB anyway due to the shifter configuration.

Any idea if there is a company that would be willing to design/build overhead consoles that bolt into existing visor mount locations on our trucks, and that relocate the factory overhead console to the new overhead console?

Only other option would be to design some similar mount to put the CB on top the dash. I have some designs in mind for this... but prefer an overhead console mount.

It would be really funny if I couldn't mount the CB into my new Ram. It mounted fine in my '91 Ford.

ALL REAL TRUCKS should have a place to mount a CB.

I used one of Big Bob's mounts. Pretty sure he has one that will work for the 2006 six speed. Mine will work on a 2004-5 six speed.

The DX-95T is an awesome radio. I do not have the overhead console so I mounted my 95T where the console would be. I think Big Bob makes a bracket for the 6 speeds.

Thanks guys. The shifter/cupholder arrangement is such that putting the CB on the floor will do nothing but make things look cramped and thrown together. Looking for something a bit better laid out.

I'll take a look at the Geno's mount. Still wish someone made a nice overhead console that relocates the factory overhead display...

My Cobra 29 series isn't on par with a Galaxy. But, the pics should give you an idea of what I did. For the guy posting the Cobra 75. Don't do it. Transmit/Receive are subpar. CB is too big when traveling with a group. It cramps my hand. I was glad too give away that 75 with my 96'. Try search. It's either love or hate with the Cobra 75. My 06' SLT seats are not real friendly for mounting things underneath.

Don't buy the 75 WX-ST. I had one and I found it bulky in my hand and weak on TX and RX. I then went all out and sprung for a Galaxy 95T, and I am not sorry for doing so. If you do not want to spend a big sum, a Cobra 29 is an excellent radio that can be tuned up for more output.

I do have mount for the 06 trucks, but you do have to drill some holes in the center hump to mount them:
