I have been trying to figure out where to put my CB for weeks now and finally last night I built this mount. What do yall think? Jeremy. #ad

I've been trying to decide where to put one in my rig too. I've got the Travel Convienence Group in mine with the overhead computer so I can't mount mine there. I've got my brake controller under the dash behind the t-case lever and the trans shifter would prevent me from putting it there. I'm guessing I'm going to have to move it under the steering column or over my right leg. Bad thing is, in the off chance I have a wreck I could really damage my knee on it.

I saw one at work today that was mounted just below the ash tray. right up where the two pieces meet. used the ash tray to put the clip on.

I have one of the original brolin mounts and it works great. He quit production but I think Bob Wagner got it up and going again and they are selling them through Rip Rooks place. I don't have a picture or a link to the thread but if you pm Bob or call Rook they can set you up. It mounts in front of the front center seat/console using the console bolts for mounting points very sanitary install and out of the way yet very accessible. You might try doing a search on "Brolin Mount" that should produce contact info and pictures.

Thanks Dshuart:

OOPS, do I feel stupid  guess I should of checked out the link instead of just assumming it was something else, didn't realize the new name was wonder mount but now that it comes up I do recall reading that Micheal didn't want his name on them anymore

I am only 6 ft tall but I am all torso and no legs so, I can see it just fine. I rarely look at it anyways. I know where the pertinant adjustments are without looking. The wires were simple, the headliner has a lip on the front that keeps them on top! As far as the computer and compass, that I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER was worthless to me! Mine only showed direction and temp! I can roll the window down and get close on the temp. I had the radio under the dash on my last truck and would kick it quite often. Not to mention what it would do to your leg in an accident!

I originally thought about the wonder mount but devided against it because all thhe pictures I saw looked like the radio would cover at least one cup holder! I always have my coffee cup and at least one drinnk for myself. If one of the holders were lost then my passenger would be out of luck! So I broke out the beer and came up with this! Kind of, from the hip! Jeremy

Looks good! Nice and clean. I'm not brave enough to stick something on the roof. To many things to screw up. I yanked my POS in dash cup holder, broke out the saw and stuffed my CB in the dash. Still gotta fill in the area around the radio but I like it in the dash.

I decided I wanted my CB mounted on the transmission hump just ahead of the center seat, but being “cheap” whenever possible, I didn’t want to spend the money for the mounts I’d seen. Solution: went to Menard’s and bought two “L” shaped, 4X7 inch shelf brackets that had snap-on plastic decorative covers over the bare metal, screwed them onto the transmission hump at the appropriate spacing, ran the wires under the carpet, and now have a very satisfactory and attractive mount. Total cost for brackets and screws—less than $5. 00!

I tried to include a couple of pictures but can't figure out how to. If someone will tell me, I'll edit this to include the pics.
