hay guy's and gals.....

it's almost that time for the annual trip to south florida!! just bought a cobra cb radio and looking for some install ideas and pics. thanks for any input. . james

I put mine

in the center, on the floor, standing up (with coax pointing down) against the center section of the seat. I had to make a longer than factory polished S. S. bracket to do this. The speaker was against the seat and I couldn't hear so I bought an external speaker and installed it up underneath the ashtray area out of the way. I see yours is an auto, and you probably have more options than a stick transmission. On mine, there simply wasn't alot of room after the brake controller,comp, switches etc. If you're interested, I'll try to take some digital pics and post them. Just an Idea, but it worked and is out of the way for me.

Hey James they usually mount in under the column to the right or on the lower dash,folddown console. They make a ram anntenna mout thru firestick too if your interested call me at the shop.

Here's how I mounted an antenna and routed cable, keeps all wiring hid well. The upper door weatherstrip is molded with a perfect size hole through it to route cable.
