Considering purchasing a Uniden. A little worried tho. To much electrical stuff on my truck. Autoloc, Brake controller, fueling box, CaTCHER.

I wouldn't want to screw up my electronics. Friend of mine had stutter in new 04. Viper aftermarket alarm system turned out to be the culprit. Yes, I know installation, shielding, propper connections and everything tidy a must, but maybe if it isn't broken I shouldn't fix it.

Opinions please?

The only trouble I've had with CB radios and electronics has been minimal. Have a Cobra 18 in a Deere tractor that has a Common-rail injection. The only noise we have is from the interference created by the cab blower motor. Going to try a noise filter on the hot wire to the radio. Other than that, nothing. No problems in my '97.

If you BOMBed the radio, then you run into some trouble with some interference.

The one major rule for prevent interference with a CB is to get the CB clean power. The cleanest power is right from the battery (if you want to cut power with the ignition, use a relay). I have a Motorola RF scanner, Prodigy brake controller, 400 watt power inverter, Garmin Global Positioning System, Alpine Stereo, two cell phones with chargers, and a DeWalt 18 Volt battery pack charger. The only thing I get interference from is the GPS system when it first turns on and acquires satellites, after that it settles down. If you run power from somewhere in the dash, your chances of that power source feeding interference to your CB increases greatly. Put yourself in the position to maximize CB performance by going with clean power from the get-go, and working out other issues from there.
