I know nothing about owner or year model. It is CC. I took as many photos as I could. Truck grill looks like new truck. Service man said they have had several engine failures with same issues. Appears at time of engine build there was something that caused bottom end bearing failures. I believe it is newest engine and you will have to look at photos closely as to type CP.
A lot of pictures of three posts, but no info....???
My understanding is that engine replacement under warranty will be with exactly the same engine that was originally there, a Cummins remanufactured engine. So if original engine came with a CP4 that's probably what you get. Not a brand new engine, a Reman, by Cummins, to Cummins specs. At least thats what they told me I got with my recent engine replacement on my 2014 MY.
It would be nice if all the photos were in one thread. A mod should be able to merge all 3 threads.
Defiantly a 19 or 20 with the CP4 installed.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I don't think CP4's will get removed and retrofitted with CP3's based on this. That replacement engine was built 10 days ago with a CP4.
I was only able to place 20 pics per post.
John’s correct. 20 per POST, not per THREAD.
The engine they replaced it with was a new complete engine off the line. A reman would be installed in anything but the current or one model year old truck. My understanding is that engine replacement under warranty will be with exactly the same engine that was originally there, a Cummins remanufactured engine. So if original engine came with a CP4 that's probably what you get. Not a brand new engine, a Reman, by Cummins, to Cummins specs. If it was a bottom end failure I wonder why one cylinder is all rusted? And the new engine is a CP4.
Saw a tag on the engine stating it was going to Gerry Wood CDJR in Salisbury, NC. GatorMade trailers has a drop yard in Salisbury at IMS over on Summit Park Drive, not far at all from Gerry Wood CDJR.I don't have a lot of info. The photos are a wealth of info for those who have never seen a brand new cumminz sitting out of a truck. Bottom end failure is all I can tell you. Enjoy.
