Just got back from a Florida turn around. Picked up an 02 Fleetwood American Dream MH with an ISL 350 Cummins tucked in the trunk. It developed a small indicator problem so I stopped at Mid South Cummins in Mobile, Al. to have it looked at. Here is where I was told of this slick new deal that Cummins was putting together.
Cummins Customer Care Center. Cummins is now in the process of selling franchises thru out the US. for a total 1 stop RV facility. Get this, 92% of all diesel pushers have Cummins engines. 98% of all motorhomes have Onan generators. Not only will the CCCCs have certified Cummins techs on staff but also have RVIA certified RV techs as well. A total one stop get every thing fixed facility. What a concept!
Part of the requirements are: At least 4 full RV hookups. A showroom plus a large "homey" living room type waiting room with TV and refreshments. An RV store. The list goes on and on.
I am excited. RV folk are a differant breed of people. They really don't care for their coaches to be in a greasy stall next to an 18 wheeler or sit in the waiting room with a bunch of snoring truckers. I think Cummins is right on target.
One more thing. Did you read the part about 92% of all the diesel pushers are Cummins powered? I have never seen a diesel pusher with a Powerstroke or a Duramax. Wonder why being they are so powerful and all... ... ... ... ... ... ... .....
