I was changing my CCV filter on my 2019 Ram and I thought I would change the gasket also. Why not? Right?
When I did this I did notice the tab on it was offset but not until I took it out of the gasket "track" . Does anyone know the how it goes in? I assuming up? Also it appears about a inch to big. I tried putting the old one back on. Same thing. Is there a trick?
I did try doing a search but could not find anything. Any help would be appreciated .

I did figure out the gasket seeming to big. Need to be careful not to stretch it. Now I hope the tab is correct.

That type of gasket really doesn't need to be replaced until there is an issue or you've had it off half dozen times. Glad to see that you're servicing the CCV. If it gets overlooked for too long, can raise it's head and cause grief! As long as you got it seated into the lip, you should be good, Just check a few times to make sure you're not weeping oil.
