 For the past few mornings my CD won't play until the cab warms up inside. I tried a different CD and still no play until warm. Even the little love tap  I gave it did not help. Has anyone else had this problem?

It is common, most CD player manuals talk about it. It's to protect the player from extreme temps, they also won't work when it's too hot.

Thanks for your input. Living in San Diego we don't see to much cold weather so I did not notice it until we had this cold spell. When it drops down to 30 deg. I don't even want to go outside:D What a whimp I am!:D

Moisture Sensor Too

Smokey Joe,

The Jensen CD player that I had installed also has a moisture sensor in it... won't play a CD until it reads a low enough relative humidity. The little laser won't read the disc if there is too much moisture on it. It's just like the ones that are in the auto VCR players. Had one in a conversion van. On a cold morning while travelling, it would take up to 45 minutes to "warm up and remove the moisture" Food for thought...
