Cel p0141

So the CEL came on a few days ago. I attempted to check the code using the key method. -----DONE each time and didn't reflect any codes. I figured it was a glitch that would clear it self after some time. I was wrong. The code is

P0141. Bank 1 Sensor #2

Can someone share some information on this? Was it a recall? I read something about updating the wiring harness. How difficult is this? Is there something I should check before I take it to the Stealership?

This is on a 2012, 3500, CTD, 4X4.

2013 and up trucks will never see that code which is an O2 sensor fault code.

2013+ don't have O2 sensors.

The key method doesn't work on 2013+ trucks, either. Not sure about 2012.

Is the 220 amp alt something you put on? Where did you get it from? What batteries did you pair it with?

The 220 amp alternator is an option. Mine has it too, I believe it was included in the snowplow prep group...and likely available with other packages.

Yup. An option. It was replaced under recall about 6 months ago.

I'm too chicken to try to upgrade electonics on these trucks.

I'm kinda shocked no one else has seen this.. There was a TSB issued. I'll post more details when I return.
