Hauling camper & Towing trailer

graphics suggestions

My wife and I camp in some remote areas that our cell service is very marginal. (at&t) Does these booster as advertised in trailer life really work??

i have a wilson antenna that works realy weel for picking up service in places you cant get anyservice with a cell

Pick up a Wilson "trucker" Cell antenna and mount it to either the camper or the truck... get the adapter for your phone, and if there is service, you will have it.

I have ran the Wilson Trucker Antenna for 6 years now... it works very well.

I have the wilson antenna and 12 volt power amp. We went from very poor (usually no service) to a very strong signal. It works very well in the area we go to AZ.

I have what they call a 'Smoothtalker' which I believe is also a Wison product. Works as advertised and would buy another if needed.

I installed the Wilson "wireless" system in my HitchHiker, this Summer. Here is the thread:

Installed Wilson Wireless Cellular Amplifier

There are both "wired" and "wireless" systems, but I decided on the "wireless" as I did not want to attach it to my phone. It does boost the signal. At the last camp I was at, I had just one bar on the phone. This system boosted it to 4 bars... Connection seems better too... :)

Smoothtalker is a Canadian company. I have one for Nextel and it works well except it has to be connected to the phone. I recommend CellAntenna Corporation: Building Repeaters, Cellular Antennas, accessories, cellphone products. they have everything you need. I got my smoothtalker from them (a brand in which they no longer sell) and I got an actual wireless repeater from them that doesn't need to be connected to the phone. Either route you choose to go with CellAntenna Corporation: Building Repeaters, Cellular Antennas, accessories, cellphone products. can answer your questions. Stay away from the wilson brand repeaters they're junk. You get what you pay for.

For those of you that have mounted an external antennae on your RV how did you route the coax into the coach. I have a 22' travel tlr. and am really concerned about drilling holes where water could get in. I run the wilson "Signal Boost" and like it very much. I move the Wilson from my truck to my tlr back and fourth as needed. Larry
