A Question About Engine Break-in During First 6K Miles

Wow, just found out today the the center bearing in my drive shaft is out as well as the rear axle leaking (drivers side). Both of these happened on my '97, but I was well past 100k miles. Only at 58k in the new truck. We're not going in the right direction.

I'm positive that it has nothing to do with your issue, but I just got a recall notice for my 1/2 ton dealing with rear pinion issues.

it is still under warranty??? My 05' with the 11. 5 AAM never had any axle leak/problems with 105K before trade in. It did have 2 pinion seals changed before 30K and the second time the rear end yoke. I wonder if the first leak was a fluke, second a bad install by shop???? Keep us posted.

Carrier bearing went out last night, luckily I was close to the house. I thought it pitched a disc brake pad at first. 57,XXX miles, warranty fix, but not till next Wednesday!
