Center console cover advice

Like everyone, I have the high mileage center console cover blues. Right arm has worn the leather through. I see solutions ranging from $25 to $300 for a replacement. Quiet a range.

Has anyone used the $25 cover that they have to install? I am not an upholstery expert. Is it possible to do it yourself with good results? Or should I buy the Dorman fully made one?

When we had that problem, we replaced with the factory cover. If you are a handy doityourselfer, go for the $25 ,option and see how it goes. If yes, big savings, if no, your shot at it it was less than 10% of the replacement.

You might look at the instructions to see how hard it is as well. Others may have actual experience and may help you more.

You may be surprised how reasonable an upholstery shop is sometimes. I had a leather seat cover replaced in my son's grand cherokee for less than $200 recently.
