Center console question...

Thinking about modifying the center console to fit a double din radio. I haven't pulled it apart yet so I am curious if anybody knows what's behind the console in the radio area. Is there enough room for a double din if I make the hole a little bigger?

I have a 04. 5 and installed a nav and sirius radio. I have the upgrade package so I have the heated seats. I beleave you can install the radio the install will be tight the ac channel is back there but that is about it. You will have to hot knife some plastic stringers ( aircraft talk) bracing.

No and I have installed a turbo cooler and the serius reciver along with the antenna and dodge head unit RB-1. I know I'm a bone head not taking pictures since I have a digital camera of both the installs and showing it on the site.

It's really easy to check for yourself. Just remove one screw behind the trash bag hanger hook and pull the panel off, just snaps off.
