2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Center Console

Has any one modified there center Console so it was movable?

I want to put tracks under mine and make it adjustable so the back seat has a tad more room in the center.

Your sig doesn't mention if you have an auto or manual transmission. With a manual you wont have much room to move the center seat forward...

If you have a auto a cheap set of seat sliders should work. Universal Seat Sliders

Thanks for the link. Been thinking of doing this for some time now.

I thought that the 5 speed was in the sig, must have droped out some where. Even if I can gain a few inches it might make it more comfortable back there. I think I can squeez 2-3 inches.

I removed mine entirely since no one ever sits there with both shifters in the way. I also removed the brackets (riveted on) from the sides of the seats when I firmed up my seat cushions (I put i/o carpet between the foam and the cheese slicer wires) and fixed my sliders. The seats felt better than new.



I bought a universal (minivan?) console with front and rear cupholders and more storage in a very nice matching grey for $35 and put it in. MUCH more functional.

I pulled the drink holder bracket out and mounted a 400W inverter under there with a piece of aluminum, Works pretty good and makes it easy to charge the laptop on the road.
