Center disconnect

When did the dodge stop using the center disconnect on the front axle?

2001 was the last year, my 2002 doesn't have it.

It was on the late 2001 model year trucks, early ones still had the CAD.

Some early 2002's had them too!

Thats weird, why would they switch in 2001. 5 to the non-CAD axle, then have some 2002's with them? Though, our brilliant dodge engineers have done wonders with these trucks...

I hated my axle being locked all the time on my '02. I wish they just would have done manual hubs.
