Has anyone heard of a kit to make the center seat on my 98 Q/C adjustable. It would improve leg room for a rear passenger, and I've got plenty of room to move it forward with the auto trans. Thanks in advance

Never heard of anything like that. Personally, I think that thing is the biggest waste of space, especially with my manual trans. I ripped it out and made a console to take it's place that fits my needs. I know this doesn't answer your question, just my $. 02

Drilling new holes

I thought about the same thing wanting to move it forward about an inch, did you look to see if we could re drill the mound in the center section frame to move it.

Joe:rolleyes:

Joe-

I actually used the base of it to build on. You can easily drill new holes in the bottom mounts to move it up a bit. The bolts come up from the bottom through a bracket that is connected to the driver and pass seats. The nuts are welded on the seat frame. It would be easy to either slot the holes in the floor mounts and use the existing nuts or drill behind the factory nuts and use different nuts and bolts.

This probably just confused you more... .

Sound good to me

Yes I remember now, the nuts were weld and I was not sure how to go about putting new ones on. Slot the holes, It sounds like another job for the new dramel tool.

Speaking of the dramel tool, I use almost ever weekend, I have a project going, I never thought it would come in so handy. even used to make the dash holes to install my center pod for guages. Grind a a slot in the White Knight backup kit for my 10,000 hitch reinforcement.
