Well folks, just finished installing the Centerforce Clutch and US Gear Overdrive. I will say for the Clutch that there seems to be no difference in pedal effort that I can tell. The overdrive shifts smoothly into overdrive, however, when you shift out of overdrive there is a clunk in the drive shaft. No big problem as far as I'm concerned. I'll have to let the clutch wear in as to the instructions for 400 to 500 miles of city type driving before getting on the power. My initial impression of this installation is nothing but sweat!! I'll get back to everyone after I get a chance to "break" things in and give you my opinions. Just waiting for my JRE injectors and came plate for more fun!!!!!!!!

Sure sounds like a hot truck with the OD I bet she will fly on the top end of fifth in OD, top speed ?????? What about a second gear start with OD on are you geared to high?

Just got back from a 60 mile road test and all I can say about the Centerforce clutch is it doesn't even compare to the stock Lucas clutch. The engagement on the Centerforce is smooth and clean. My factory clutch had only 20K on it and felt no where near as nice as the Centerforce. I would install the Centerforce just for its manners regardless of the power it's capable of handling. The US Gear overdrive is a little noisy in the upper RPM, 75 mph and above, but nothing terrible. The fan will drown out the noise, as will the radio. The truck takes off nice in 1st. over and runs great through all the gears. I'm very happy with the installation, just wishing I wouldn't have taken as long as I did putting everything together. The idea of laying on cold concrete is not as appealing as it was a few years back. I think its time to start saving my pennies and buy a two post lift for my shop. Dream Dream Dream

I blew through Skagit Co yesterday on my way to turkey day at the wifes cousins in Oak Harbor. Sometime when I up there again I'd like to check out your rig. You got the set up I will eventually get(saving for the go-fast items first).

Mike, I actually live in Oak Harbor, just 2 miles south of Deception Pass bridge. You were closer than you thought!
