Good price on clamps

Pros/cons of Centerforce Dual Disk 12. 75 inch clutch. $1070 installed. Local 4 Wheel Parts guy is a friend of a friend. Looking to go up to 500 HP/1000-1100 lb/ft (approx. 300 RWHP now). Will it hold?

Comments?! THANKS!

That`s all Centerforce use to sell for the Cummin`s was a Duel Disk. And no it won`t hold the kind of power your talking. If it does hold the Cummin`s will tear the center hub`s out of the disk`s.

I've had my Centerforce dual friction for over 40K with initially 320hp (II's & EZ) to around 400hp (II's, TST3). I do most of my towing with the TST on level 3 so probably around same hp as the EZ setup initially. No problems with the clutch and I pull a 24 ft horse trailer/16 ft dump trailer with tractor routinely. Maybe I've been lucky but I've got no complaints.

I did crank the box up to level 9 a few weeks ago, juiced it pretty good on the green light, broke the wheels loose shifting into 3rd, got some bite, rowed to 4th and stomped on it... and blew my VP 44 - but the clutch held. :D

Mine held 350 rwhp on my 98 for 50,000 miles. It was still in there when I sold it. I wouldn't put any more horsepower to it than what I did. If he's going to spend that much, spend a little more and get something like a SBC.

BTW, 1100 sounds like a lot to have it installed. I paid 350 for the clutch and 300 to put it in back 4 years ago.

Thanks guys. I didn't know if it was a good deal or not so I thought I would ask.

I am pretty sure I am going with a SBC but wanted to get opinions on the "Others".
