I have been through the studs breaking off deal once with aftermarket wheels and thought I had someone messing with my truck at work loosening them up. Turned out to be moisture rusting the threads in the aftermarket lugs and the rust binding the lugs when they were rotated and retorqued. I ordered the needed lugs from McGuard and while chatting with the tech department was lead to the moisture issue. Took all the old remaining lugs and cleaned them with a tap and placed them on and I now use anti-seize to help keep the moisture out . They have been on the truck ever since and I have had no more issues at all and that was over 140k ago.
Also of note...
The only studs that are the correct hardness for our trucks are Chrysler's and i have seen many aftermarket ones used and many of them snap off when proper torque is used... ... . Andy
