Iowa TDR Chapter???

"Mad Max"

TDR MEMBER
Folks -

As mentioned before, I would like to officially propose activation of the TDR "Mountain" Chapter, the TDR "Northern Tier" Chapter, and the TDR "Heartland" Chapter. These three new TDR chapters will comprise the current Central chapter.

I propose these new chapters be identified as follows:

TDR Mountain Chapter - Wyoming and Colorado

TDR Northern Tier Chapter - N. Dakota, S. Dakota, and Minnesota (MN)

TDR Heartland Chapter - Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa

We have the TDR administrations approval and horsepower for the division, and I will be working closely with them for generating new patches, decals, and mottos.

For the next month, I would request your votes for branching into three chapters, keeping the current chapter as is, or 'other'. Please feel free to include any details/explainations for your vote.

Much more to follow. Many thanks.

- Sam Ayars (a. k. a. Mad Max)

Acting (and still learning... ) Central Chapter President

Folks, please take a moment to vote. I appreciate the votes thus far, but I'd feel a lot more comfortable pressing on with more than three ;). If you're a Central chapter member, please express your thoughts.

Thanks!

I wanted to have the poll last through July but I can't find a way to extend it, so, if there are any other votes for the Chapter branching out please vote by posting a reply. At the end of July I'll officially make changes.

Thanks to everyone who has resonded and voted! :)

I vote nay. Under the proposed change only 49-states are represented by the TDR. Where does MN go Mr. "Acting Central Chapter President"?!?

:-laf ;)

Oh, that's nice - yeah, upon further (and much closer) inspection it appears yours truly can't read... and needs to go read US State Abbreviations For Dummies. Geeze, okay well we definitely need to cure that, and, for sure I need better glasses . Okay, well for sure Minnesota (that's MN for those of us that are abbreviation-deficient) is Northern Tier, so does it make sense to adjust the Northern Tier list to be North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota?

Honestly I thought Minnesota was Great Lakes - half of y'all are along-side Lake Superior... right? Uhhmmm... I obviously didn't double-check that one. What a dope I can be - I can turn a mean wrench but I better go back to map-reading school. Will y'all in the great states of Minnesota (MN) and Montana (MT) ever forgive me?

Yo Billy - I'm thinking we may want you to organize events up that way, eh? It appears you know your way around pretty good up there ;). Thanks very much for that very big save. Good catch - glad you caught it.

Not a problem. We in the "Great White North" don't hold grudges...

Josh is already doing a great job with the events. Besides, I am waaaaaaaay to much of a smart arse to do that! :-laf

(whew) thank goodness! So, ahh, does that mean yer a 'yay' now? ;):D. And seriously, would you be up for running the N. T. Chapter? It's just to get things transferred smoothly and can go long-term past then or can transfer to another volunteer. Just thinking out loud... ...
