TDR MEMBER
TDR friends and neighbors, our day of glory is upon us Oo.

Derived from the Latin, Divide et impera, divide and conquer means to do more with less and achieve greatness! In our case, manage our regions more easily, simplify communication, and above all, have huge fun!

The polls are closed, the votes are tally'd, the thoughs and opinions have been heard, and the decision has been made - The TDR Central Chapter will evolve into the Heartland Chapter, the Mountain Chapter and the Northern Tier Chapter!

I want to thank everyone for your replies, PM's, e-mails, thoughts and concerns for this big step in our TDR history. I have sent the details for the division to our TDR administration, namely Robin Patton, and our TDR webmaster, Steve St. Laurent, with the new headings and initial steps for the change. When we have the details and timing for the changes to take place I will post up so you all know what's going on and when.

Current postings. As I understand, the current threads within the central chapter will be sorted and moved by state, so the threads posted by a Heartland member will remain within the new Heartland chapter threads, and the others respectively.

I have made a couple other suggestions to Steve, and pending his thoughts you will be seeing some additional sub-headings, at least within the Mountain chapter, to better organize local events and help answer local questions. If the other chapters like the format I am sure Steve can add those to the new chapters as well. Again, when those decisions are made I will let you know asap.

Again, thank you to everyone that responded. Stand by for more info.

UPDATE -

Wheels are in motion, and we have all learned a couple things about the process. I'll post back when it settles, and I'll post the way ahead.

Bottom line is, it'll be smoother and simpler. Stand by, and thanks for your patience.

Gotta love it!

Okay - I know y'all have most likely seen the upgrades to the Central region threads... no... no typo - Central Region, not Central Chapter. Ah haaa - that's the difference, eh? That's right - what we have known as the Central Chapter has actually been simply a Central Region - no chapter associated with it.

Here's the deal - the TRD threads have been developed into regions, and, there have been TDR chapters developed within those regions, but not the region itself. For example, Jeremy was the TDR Rocky Mountain Chapter, which did not mean he was the central chapter president. I discovered this a short time ago, and in that time after talking with Robin Patton (HUGE thanks to her for helping me understand how this all works) we have developed and incorporated the threads into what you see as of today.

How it works:

The central region is officially now detailed into our three smaller regions. You will not be able to post NEW threads under the central region. Threads currently under the central region will remain and attrition out as time goes by. New threads will be posted under the new regions, broken out as we had discussed earlier.

As it is, I will be taking over from Jeremy as the Rocky Mountain TDR president. I will not be president of either the Mountain, Northern Tier, or Heartland regions - those are not chapters and there are no managerial roles within those regions. However, if someone wants to incorporate a new chapter for your local town, you can absolutely do that and set it how you like.

Chapters are developed for very local groups, like our RMTDR chapter, and is designed to work within a city and work with local TDR members, not regional TDR members.

So, posts can now be tailored to your region, and chapters can be incorporated as you see fit. I really like the new design and think it will work very well for us all.

Any questions please ask away. Otherwise, thank you all for your support and input. See you on the road!
