central vacum

I am building a new house and am going to install a central vac system. I need to know if one brand is better then another brand. Thanks in advance for any info.

Never had a central vac before we moved into this house. Always thought they were just a frill or something. Boy was I wrong! This thing is great. Much more power and quiter than a portable and all the exhaust goes OUTSIDE. Outlets all over the place including in the garage. 20 year old Nutone; I imagine that new Beam would be even more impressive. Big bags hold a ton - mostly doghair here. :-laf

As an electrician i have been talked into instaling a few central vacs and have been happy with the nutone duel motor units. Nutone is a cool company that always seems to have replacement parts or retro kits to fit all there old fans and many other of there products. Go to a real electric supply house and get a price. Home depot seems always to be more expensive

Once I got married my wife became the central vacuum system around our house. Depends how you look at it, but it might be cheaper.
