Any CARB issues bringing in diesels into CA?

Anyone try a set of these yet? I just installed a set on mine. No big difference so far but I don't have many miles on my truck yet and it was pretty well balanced before. I didn't take off my wheel weights. That's optional so I decided to leave mine on. The balancers are made of aluminum so that should help to keep my aluminum wheels from sticking to the hubs. Now for a long term test to see if the tires will really last longer as they claim.

I've had a set on for about a year. It is really hard to tell if the tires will last longer because of so many variables (towing, gravel roads, tire brands, driving habits etc. ). I do think they help keep tires balanced. Like you I kept my weights on. I just installed new Michelins and also had them balanced. Overall I think the Centramatics are a good thing to have, whether they are worth the cost or not????

They work very well ;) I have been running them for over 38,000 now and will not run without them. I no longer have to worry about my tires cupping or wearing strange. They are even in wear. ;)

I just installed a set of Balance Master wheel balancers, based on the review in the last TDR mag. What attracted me is that they do not make a whooshing sound when rolling slow. Unusual noises from my truck really tick me off :)

I was having a balance vibration at 45 and 65 that the local tire guys couldn't get sorted out. These cured it.

We have been running them on our motorhomes for years now and love them. Easly get an extra 10,000 miles out of the tires. They are always self adjusting.

Check out the group buy in the TDR classifieds section.

I can't hear mine over the sound of the engine but the swooshing might be more noticable on the new, quieter trucks.

No. I had to turn them to get holes that would match up fairly close and than wiggle and jiggle with a little force to get them on.

Since I was talking to Centramatics tech anyways (they don't fit on my truck - see the other thread), he told me they are having a problem with the bolt holes right now - I guess there must be some issues getting some of them on.

I put them on the rear`s of my 04 DRW 3500 and they slid right on. I can hear them if I roll down the window and listen carefully at very low speeds.

Dave, I guess an 04 is a quiet truck. So you saying as long as I keep the windows up and radio turned on I will not hear them in my 06?

TowPro,

I don`t think you will need the radio on much less turned up. The only time I have heard mine is when I have tried to hear them. Thats with window down and 5 mph. Maybe being between the duels helps keep them quiet but noise is not an issue. I don`t have them on the fronts so I can`t comment on how noisy they would be.

Where Is mine?

I was wondering how long it takes to get these once you ordered them? I live in Pa and ordered a set for my 95 Dodge like 2 weeks ago and haven't seen them yet. I got a confirmation by email the next day after I ordered them letting me know they got my order. I guess I should just call them.
