Have a Vulcan Big Line Kit coming for my '99 and wonder if it would be a better idea to use the canister for an '00. I know the input and out put of the '99 canister is on top and side and bottom for the '00. Would there be any wiring differences for the heater and water sensor or would they be plug-n-play? Your suggestions and ideas are greatly appreciated.

Do you have a pusher pump planned? You could use a new Racor pre filter with the heating element. Mount it all on the frame, easier to work on, at least. Then you could eliminate the factory unit, if you want.

The wiring is different but you can adapt your plugs as long as you get the plugs with the new canister the filters are much less money...
