Mopar ECM upgrade on EBay

I was just wondering if the comp settings can be changed on the go? I set a low turbo pressure code and was thinking this might be the problem. Lucky for me I can reset codes with my scanner. I never had this problem till I hooked up my pump wire. I've had the comp for about a year.

Mine would act a little funny when I changed settings while it was under any throttle. I started changing settings while no throttle or idleing, and it has'nt done it again.

That's one of the benefits of the Comp over the EZ, you can change the settings, and even shut the thing completely OFF while the engine is running. But, as someone else mentioned, it might not be so good to do so while the engine is running under load at speed. I have only changed the settings while idling, myself.

Be careful....

Tom , is right... Brett ( from EDGE),has told me, and so have others in the know, It is not recommended to change settings, under load ( any boost pressure) as it is very hard on the injection pumps. It could cause premature failure. In other words if you are going to drag race someone, set it at the desired setting before launching. Or if you are cruising along, no matter what speed, as long as you are down on the boost, simply let off the throttle, Zero boost, push the comp button to where you want to be, nail the throttle. Since I only use EDGE Products, I would recommend caution when using other fueling boxes in a similar manner.
