Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) changed chips top end of rpm not right

well i went from the drag comp hooked up as an ez to the edge ez and now when i get up about 2500 ish rpm it starts to pulse and the tack moves back and fourth about 200rpm the pulse for lack of betters words is rythmic in that it goes back and fourth 2 to 400 rpm fuel pressure is above 15psi at this stage and it never did this with the comp. whats going on
 
the truck will start to defuel around 2700 rpm, IIRC. the EZ will not defeat that, but the Comp will. at least in 5x5 drag mode.

Of course I may be off track, but that was my experience with a Comp before I started tuning for towing.
 
sorry, not sure where the rpm control takes place. i would ASSUME it is in the VP control, but...

i see you are in modesto-- do you get up to sacramento much? i have a Smarty and you are welcome to give it a try to see if it changes anything. it also allows higher rpm fueling.

going to any local drags or pulls any time soon?
 
the change is cause i am gonna put the tst powermax on it stacked with the ez



as for codes i dont know cause the check engine light was already on and i havent bothered checked.



yesterday i cranked up my fp and it seemed to help a fair amount but its still defueling and the boost is down about 6psi. i could hit 40 with or without the comp
