Gregg,

I recently had my fuel filter changed at a dealership in Colorado Springs as part of the 18,000 mile servicing. No noticeable change in mpg on the trip back to NH.

Stock 04. 5 CTD, 6-speed, 4. 10 rear, 4WD towing an 8600 lb (gross) 2000 TrailHarbor 27. 5' 5er.

How many tanks have you run to verify the 10 percent? I wouldn't trust the overhead as it seems to fluctuate between tanks and even as the tank gets close to empty. (at least mine does). The only thing I could think of is the lid isn't tight and the canister is leaking. This would be very obvious though, both in smell and the dripping.

As a side note I replaced the fiuel filter this weekend, and was very happy with how easy the process is compared to my 2nd gen.

anyone have this happen?

First I've heard of, I'm getting ready to change my fuel filter for third time here in about 400 miles. Never noticed any drastic drop in mileage before. Have you recently changed fuel stations.

Yes, but I think it was that the fuel filter wasnt' seated properly in the canister. Open it up and replace everything the right way very carefully.

You didn't buy a cheap filter, did you?
