just to let you folks know.
it was fairly easy. my bowl was on somewhat tight. i got to mine from below with a 17mm socket and about a 6" extension. i don't see how you get to it from the top with the motor mount in the way. anyhow, the bowl had some crap in the bottom and but the screen was pretty clean. i put in the new screen and gasket. the gasket went on dry with no trouble. i primed it a few times and it started right up. i didn't have any clean fuel around to go over the gasket. nothing is leaking. one point of concern was some corrosion/rust/?? at the base of the threaded piece inside the bowl. i put some rust remover on it and cleaned it up real good with brake parts cleaner. i plan to do this every 75K-100K or so. thanks for the help. scott.
