Hey all... I put a picture of the custom socket in my user rig gallery.
I took a 15/16" deep well socket and grinded it out to make it like a flare nut socket. This way it clears the top cover of the transmission. Since a ratchet won't fit between it and the cab, I used the flat bar steel with 1/2" square drive head that came with my serp belt tensioner tool.
Hope it helps others.
And for all those who say I wasted a Craftsman socket... HEHEHE!!!! At least I didn't do it to one of my Snap-On sockets!
you didnt waste a Craftsman socket... ... bring it back I've brought sockets back to Sears with nuts welded to them, they didn't even ask what happend.
Pretty wet..... we have had 25 days of rain in march. Broke a lot of records, the ground is completely saturated, lots of mudslides & trees coming down. Looks like we're going to have rain for the next week and a half. We've had a wierd winter, there was SNOW downtown Santa Cruz a few weeks back!! Maybe I'll run into you, I normally end up at the Catalyst at some point over the corse of the weekend.
