Hey all... I put a picture of the custom socket in my user rig gallery.

I took a 15/16" deep well socket and grinded it out to make it like a flare nut socket. This way it clears the top cover of the transmission. Since a ratchet won't fit between it and the cab, I used the flat bar steel with 1/2" square drive head that came with my serp belt tensioner tool.

Hope it helps others.

And for all those who say I wasted a Craftsman socket... HEHEHE!!!! At least I didn't do it to one of my Snap-On sockets!

you didnt waste a Craftsman socket... ... bring it back :D I've brought sockets back to Sears with nuts welded to them, they didn't even ask what happend.

Santa Cruz, Calif!!! What's the weather like this time of year??? I am thinking of going to the Dead Kennedy's show at the Catalyst this weekend.

Pretty wet..... we have had 25 days of rain in march. Broke a lot of records, the ground is completely saturated, lots of mudslides & trees coming down. Looks like we're going to have rain for the next week and a half. We've had a wierd winter, there was SNOW  downtown Santa Cruz a few weeks back!! Maybe I'll run into you, I normally end up at the Catalyst at some point over the corse of the weekend. :D

Do you want to hook up? I bought an extra ticket for the show! Last time I ended up making instant friends with a guy at 99 Bottles for ordering an Arrogant *******!! We drove over to the Seabright, they have the best garlic cheese fries!! I met another guy there I will have to email him! Let me know! -- email address removed -- or call me 423-544-6476 !!
