OK - this search thing is driving me crazy..... I installed a software program and now all my mocies use quicktime instead of Microsoft -

1. I don't like it... how can I change it back?

2. I tried to look this up on the TDR site and when I used these terms I get 20 Plus Pages of sites that have NOTHING TO DO with teh subject... what the heck is the key? to this ????

Change the file associations. I think it's under program access and defaults, but this computer at work won't let me confirm. If not there, then it's under folder options on the control panel classic view.

Just associate the file extension with the program that is associated with it.

NPS is right. Program Access and Defaults. Then click on Microsoft. Then Select the Custom box.

Select the viewer you want as default and say OK.

XP here

Start - Control Panel - Folder options - File types

When you get there associate the suffixes that you want with the program you want. Work carefully.
