Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) changing front seal

in my manual it says to use loctite 277 on the seal when it is installed and i cant find the 277 is there a comparable loctite that can be used or does it even need any i searched the fourms and couldent find anything on this

Don't worry about the number of the loctite. Just get some basic RED loctite and your fine. I believe the red loctite is 262.

I read some instructions that said use blue loctite. That's what I have been using and no leaks. Just in case there is some confusion the loctite goes on the OD of the seal to seal the outside of it in the cover. The part of the seal that contacts the crank MUST be dry.
