I'm geting ready to change the rubber fuel feed line that is between the factory steel line to the lift pump.(Fuel Heater is out of the loop.)
When I remove the rubber line from the steel line will fuel run out?
1995 2500 274000 miles. As far as I can tell these are factory rubber so I'm getting worried.

Don't know if your finished but just in case the supply and return lines are different sizes. After you have the lines swapped, there is a 10mm bleed screw on top of the fuel filter housing. loosen and pump the lift pump until fuel starts to come out (this can take over 100 pumps depending on how long the system has been open). You may need to bleed injectors too. You can use the starter to prime the system, but that will really shorten the life of the starter contacts.
