What are the tork settings for the 2 bolts that hold down the rockers? And what is the valve lash settings? I was told 10 and 20. But forgot to ask if that was hot or cold.

Can not remember the torque on the two bolts but the clearance for the valves are . 020 for the exhaust and . 010 for the intakes. Cold engine.

What kinda tool are you guys useing to compress the springs? The one have for gassers will only fit the intake. And #6 no ideas at all.

The spring compressor I used worked for #6 int. & ext. just fine. (the Snap-on I have wont fit but the one I used did, I'll get the brand/part# & post it later) The valve lash specs are on the data plate which is located on the drivers side, side (??) of the gear housing. They are to be set with a cold block.

Ok I gave up till I get a differnt tool. BUT I still need the tork for the 2 bolts that hold the rockers on the one I did do.

18 ft lbs on the little bolts, if you pulled the rocker off to remove the spring the big bolt is a head bolt! TQ it to 90 ft lbs then mark it (whiteout) and turn it an adittional 90 degrees. The spring compressor for out trucks has to be a screw type on top and no taller than 5 1/2 inches to fit under the cowl, with the 60 lb springs you'll have to loosen the compessor all the way and screw the spring on tight to get enough clearence to install the keepers while pushing down on the compressor over the valve stem.
