I took a trip yesterday of about 150 miles. I noticed during the whole trip that the volt meter was reading a little past 14 volts. When I got home I checked the batterys with the engine running and they were both reading 14. 4 volts. I have checked this before and they normally read 13. 6 - 13. 8 volts. Is it possible that the Battery Temp. Sensor is causing this? How do you check the Batt. Temp. Sensor? The Batterys are about 3 months old. The Temp was between 30 - 40 degrees. If the Batt Temp. sensor is going bad where can I get one beside's a dealer?

Lower temperatures mean reduced charging efficiency. That voltage sounds about right for the temperature. That is why they installed a sensor. Sounds like it is working just fine.
