Thanks larryb for the idea of using a'72 voltage regulator. still the voltage gauge seemed to flicker back and forth, no big deal 'till I installed a autometer tach (the tach would sweep back and forth also) I ended up powering up the voltage reg. with a relay directly from the battery, got rid of the volt gauge problem but the tach doesn't work at idle speed,works only above 1000 RPM or so, the sender is straped to the alternator, any ideas?thanks Bob
