Charging voltage?

The truck in my sig.
I started experiencing this problem;

Now I think it's a result of over charging.
My charge volts read 14.9 volts, seems a bit high to me.
The result may be a glitching cluster and both my optimas show some bulging above each cell.

I read somewhere that the ECM controls the charging voltage. If this is so, do I have any way of adjusting it?
I have a Smarty Touch which shows "Charging Voltage Desired" but it looks like it on the monitor range that is adjustable.

ECM determines the target system operating voltage according to the battery temp sensor signal underneath the driver side battery.
14.9V was within the nominal range.
My truck would run at around 14.8 -15V in cold winter (all winter around) and 14.3 - 14.5 in hot summer.
There was no adjustment unless you change the software.
What's the ambient temp when you read 14.9V???
I am assuming you were reading with a voltmeter on the battery terminal or reading with a scan tool from the OBDII port.
Your battery temp sensor may be the issue if system voltage stayed at 14.9V when the ambient temp was at above 90F.

14.9V would NOT cause the battery to bulge.

If the battery is bulging it is bad, need a new set or you will be chasing ghosts THEN check your voltage. Make sure to clean all the connections and make sure cables do not exhibit internal issues. The passenger side ground cable, drive side hot cable to the starter, and cross over cable are the normal problem areas. If the cable feels a bit limp wristed it is probably bad internally. At this point you should probably consider cutting all the ends off of all cables at the batteries and replacing them terminals and using marine battery clamps. I have multiple bad cables when cutting the old ends off, green corrosion all thru the cable means it is history. Replacing clamps and cables has fixed many electrical and operational issues.
