Chat intermittantly crapping out

I'm really hooked on the chat thing. Only thing is, there has been a couple of times in the last couple of days when the chat room seems to be crapping out. You get the black screen with the control options and all, but nothing will show up on the screen no matter what you push. I talked to a couple of the others who are regularly there and they're getting the same thing so it's not just me. Just curious what the problem might me.

The server was rebooted and the chat script did not auto-start.
