Chatter downshifting under load 6sp

When I have to down shift when I am pulling a trailer or got the camper in. I get some chatter or some strange noise when I push in the clutch. I thought it was turbo bark, but it isn't, watched the Boost Gauge and lower it then shifted and still got the noise. It sounds more like a clutch problem or something in the drivetrain. Don't get any other noises. And it doesn't happen when I am not under load?



Any ideas? Build date is May 03.

mine did the same thing and also at idle. The performed this tsb and i no longer have any issues

This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a 5. 9L Cummins high output Turbo Diesel (sales code ETH) and NV5600 six-speed manual transmission (sales code DEE) built on or before May 11, 2003. The vehicle operator may describe a rattle sound when idling in neutral with the clutch pedal released. The bulletin involves replacing the clutch disc with a revised part.
