When i start out from a stop and turn to the left it sounds like a chatter in the frame, thought it was the rear end but I changer the oil and added the additive and still the same thing. I heard it could have something to do with the front end but everything looks ok. This is a 94 250 with a v-10. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Woody, welcome to the TDR. Couple of things to check. If you did not use the mopar friction modifier you are going to need a lot more than what is called for. Did you do a minimum of 8 figure 8's as tight as possible after adding the friction modifier? If not go do them. For some reason that I do not know, the LSD will chatter going left and not right if it is low on modifier. I have experienced this with my truck, and also will never buy friction modifier anywhere but the dealer again. Two seven ounce tubes of the store brand is way too much when one two ounce mopar will do the same job. Hope this helps.

I am hearing a heavy noise when turning right and getting on it. It is an automatic with bd torque converter and VB.

I haven't tried the front joints and I also did not do the tight figure 8 but I will get on that this week-end and let you know what I find out. Thanks for the replies, this is a great forum.

PS: I changed the oil in the rear end to amsoil, I have run it in my big trucks for years and the bogeys run a lot cooler also.

rear end noise

Woody,

When I changed mine over to Amsoil series 2000 85w 140 when I put on the Mag Hytec 80 cover,I did not add any friction modifier to the rear and went out and did the figure eight thing and haven't had any chatter whatsoever. I bought two bottles of the Mopar LSD additive just in case, but haven't a need for it:rolleyes:

Whatever you find out hope it's simple;)

I will have to try that going left , but it sure sounds like what is happening to me, going right. It almost sounds like the right wheels are breaking traction but I dont think they are. I have the maghytek and amsoil dont know if it has modifier.
