Some really bad news concerning a TDR member

We ship by international airmail free of charge.

International - don't know what country they're shipping from but it's obviously one that doesn't recognize our copyrights or at least don't enforce it. Interesting that they state that it's oem software because that lends it a twinge of validity. Microsoft does license their products to OEM's for shipping with computers and drastically reduced prices - although not as cheap as they are selling them for (OEM license cost for the manufacturer). I can purchase OEM copies of Microsoft software for shipment with my PC's and I pay more than that. Even if they are OEM licenses of the software those licenses are only valid if they are bundled with PC's. What most people don't understand about software is that you are only purchasing a license to use that product - you don't own it. If you bought an OEM licensed package and it wasn't shipped as a bundle with a PC it is no more legal than a copy you burned onto CD from a friend of yours.

MSFT will write the contract with the 'random parts suppliers' to specify what the store can and can't sell the OEM software with. Depending on the relationship and volume, MSFT will change policies.

One thing to note about OEM software: The reason its discounted from MSFT and then from the reseller is that MSFT has no obligation for technical support. Learned that one the hard way one time. Fly-by-nite computer supply ain't going to be there at 3:00 AM to help.
