I agree. . a good highflow airfilter will help. Also I had a struggle with mileage myself after my mods.
You can adjust the injector pump slightly so that your fuel comes on a little later with throttle position. This way it is running a little stingy at normal to moderate throttle opening and doesn't start dump juice till you really jump on it. I found that did help a bit. It took some trial and error but I'm back to near 19 around town stop and go stuff which is not too bad for me. Haven't had a chance to check highway mileage yet though. You can also run a good dose of injector cleaner through the system to make sure that they are not slightly clogged or gummed up. Actually I run Stanydine most of the time and do notice a perf. and mileage difference when I don't add some to a tank of fuel
