check engine light,and miss

Yesterday I had the check engine light come on, and the engine was missing at idle. I have the B&D bomb module. I do need to change the fuel filter. I drained a minute quantity of water, and that helped a little (it seemed). The tach was bouncing around, and cutting in and out. About 6000 miles ago, I had the ABS and Check Engine light come on, then the check engine light went out, the abs light stayed on for awhile, and went out, (without any further problems) untill now.
Unrelated (or ??) I have had problems with the cruise surging (accelerating when I engaged and generally being very problematic.
I went to the Lakeville Dodge dealer who's mechanic said the cruise was normal. (being a former ford/powerstroke man, I just thought the dodge cruise must be junk. )
Also does anyone know of any good Dodge dealers for us in the Red Wing, MN; Durand, Wi; Eau Claire, WI; Even Mpls-St. Paul
I have not had a good one yet, and I would love to find one that actually knew what they were doing. . .

Sounds to me like you may have a bad TPS sensor or a bad Crank Position Sensor. Some of these links have some of the same symptoms as you, good luck- Zach

i just went through this. turned out it was a bad crank sensor and a bad pcm. they couldn't find anything wrong and reflashed the bad pcm!! yep, and i paid $153 for the privalege.

the very next day i went back with the same probs... i didn't leave until they threw a code reader on it. THEN they found everthing that was wrong.
