Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) check engine light and p0113 code please help

check engine light came on. checked for codes and am getting a p0113. which is intake air tempature sensor 1 circuit high input. i bought a diagnostic tool and cleared the code but it came right back. does anybody know what cuases this code and why it will not stay arased. youre help is greatly appreciated.

he either cleaned it or fixed it. When mine went out the truck was a dog. it broke with saying temps were 114 degrees.

i had replaced the old one last week. turns out the brand new one lasted a week. put the old one back in and cleared the check engine light and the code. just becuase it is new i guess dont mean its good. will be returning the new one tomorrow and get another one.
