Check engine light on

Today the check engine light come on. Engine is running ok on my stock 05 with 25k. Thought I would check with you guys before going to dealer.

Were do you live? Do you have and AutoZone near you. They will pull the codes for you for free. Get a code on here and you can get more help. Could be something stupid like anoverboost.

What is the trouble code you get?

To check your engine codes via the odometer display;
Turn key to on position, the one just before the motor cranks. Turn it back one position, then to on again, off again and on again, off a 3rd time and on one last time and leave it there. Your codes should then display. Have pencil and paper handy and wait through until all codes display and the odometer reading returns.
