Check engine light came on and retreived a PO336 code. Crank position sensor. If not for the light being on, I would have never noticed a problem. I did a search and found little info on this code. Do I need to replace the sensor, where is it located on the engine, how much do they cost. What does it control. I need a little direction here

Thanks, Paul...

i've had this code several times i have seen where some folks with a 6 gun seem to get it. i just cleared it and it didn't come back at all

Behind the starter on 99. Controls fueling and tach. Keep an eye on it as it could get worse and may leave you stranded. You can get a new one at any Cummins or at this place

http://www.hoeslidiesel.com./

$38-$42. 00 if I remember right
